Radio 1 believes that people who take the time to listen hear more, more about current events, sports, and music. For these attentive listeners, we create radio, podcasts, articles, from 'The morning' to 'The Night of Radio 1.' So that our teachers, politicians, singers, writers, people at home, and anyone else can truly agree or respectfully disagree, to refine, enrich, and even embrace sharp, gentle, and different opinions, to show respect, or at least understanding, to imbue them with nuance, and to separate fiction from ‘New Facts’ in ‘the World Today’.
By listening, Radio 1 opens the ears of ‘Wise Gray Teens’ and ‘Twentysomethings’. We discover that the new song by Cheat Codes is based on a classic by Kris Kross. We view Kharmach's black-and-white comedy with a touch of gray, and party colors with a bit more rainbow. And we know why the race was won by Van Aert!, uh Van der Poel, it's VAN AAAEEEert!!
People who listen experience more. Radio 1 turns guests, presenters, and listeners into listeners. So that they understand one another better, so that we understand one another better, so that society understands the world better. Because without listening, there is no dialogue.
